For today’s episode of the podcast, I sat down with Dustin Stout, the founder and CEO of an AI platform called Magi. As you know, I love getting the long story on this show, and Dustin’s journey is a fascinating one. We walked through his days growing up a small-town boy, and then taking a swing at acting in Hollywood. Eventually, he had to face the daunting realization that he wasn’t going to become a massive movie star, which led him down the path of entrepreneurship.
We also got heavy into artificial intelligence. Dustin pointed out how AI is completely flipping the apple cart right now, much like the internet did when it first came around. Since we were talking about it, I decided to try something completely new live on the show. I went over to X, plugged a prompt into Grok, and asked it what questions it would ask Dustin. It was pretty unreal what it came up with.
Dustin’s thoughts on transparency really hit home for me. Back in 2021, when the world felt like it was falling apart, I started giving out my personal phone number on the show. I wanted to make sure that if people were upset with my takes on culture or geopolitics, they could actually get ahold of me. I’ve kept doing it for five straight years.
