Courage to Create
Forget Likes – Chase Who You Want to Be – Speaking at Courage to Create
Evening folks,
I got invited to speak at an online summit called Courage to Create, hosted by Nicole Murphy—who was actually a guest on the podcast a while back (#378 & #423 for those who want to revisit it). She reached out earlier this month, thinking my story of building the show from scratch might help folks interested in starting their own creative projects.
We had a great chat, and there’s a clip from it that’s been sticking with me. Nicole shared how she went from 1 million likes on her content down to just 100, and she was pretty bummed out about it. I basically said, “Who the f*ck cares about likes? Do you like doing it?” She said yes. Then I told her, “Then do it!” I went on to say we’ve built this world where we chase likes and money—very materialistic. I’ve learned it’s better to chase Who do I want to be? and Where do I want to go with that? Who do I want to be around my kids and wife? That’s what’s important. And if you want to be successful online, then be successful in real life and it will find you.
That’s the kind of no-BS stuff we’ll be digging into at the summit. It’s free, with 15 creatives, experts, and thought leaders sharing insights on expression, inspiration, and overcoming self-doubt, perfectionism, and creative procrastination—whether you’re starting a podcast, writing a book, or just ready to hit record and share your ideas.
I enjoyed our talk, and I think you will too. You can find more details and register for free here: CLICK HERE. Hope to see some of you there—it’s a great chance to get inspired and maybe take that first step yourself.
Merry Christmas Everyone,
Shaun Newman

First thought from this brief clip. If you say fuck in French class you will end up in the office, ask me how I know.
Second thought. I agree to do what you want and the people will catch up. There are a few tricks along the way but if you live your passion great things are possible. But there is a caveat, you will eat and live better during this process if you have a supportive partner. I couldn’t find socks to get out the door without mine.
