August 1st today baby!!!! Which means back to 5 days a week (podcasting I mean) and with that I figured it was high time for Tom & Alex to return for their 14th iteration. Wherever you are I hope your summer is treating you well.

Earlier this week I had Marty Up North and Liam Parfitt on the podcast to discuss the Jasper Wildfire WATCH IT HERE ON X. Liam is one of the co-owners of Freya Logging which is the company that logged parts of the Jasper National Park. His background and expertise offered a very unique insight into the fires.

I’ve had several listeners now comment on how insanely informative it was. I think, for me, what stuck out was the fact different types of trees have different burn speeds, crown fire vs ground fire and how thinning forest can prevent these wildfires from spreading to the huge sizes they currently are.
