Mashup 213

Treason Accusations, Trillion-Dollar Fears & Vape Vault Heist

In today’s episode of The Mashup, 2s and I tore into another wild week of Canadian absurdity and global insanity. We ripped apart the latest “Grizzly” sentencing story — a BC man who murdered his Indigenous wife and son but got a soft life sentence with parole in just 10 years thanks to his heritage. We covered the stomach-churning UK case of a teacher and his partner who sexually abused and murdered their 13-month-old adopted baby, along with the damning UK grooming gangs report that exposed the scale of the horror and the cover-ups. On the home front, we discussed Alberta independence momentum (a new poll showing nearly 41% support), Danielle Smith’s strong response to treason accusations from a First Nations lobbying group, and the ridiculous “cost of leaving” report that conveniently ignores the cost of staying. We also hit wasteful federal spending (hello, $4 million for gender-neutral bathrooms at a Lebanese mountain warfare ski school), crime stories, a bungled Brazilian bungee jump, 2s own Vape Vault smash-and-grab, and finished with the usual mix of dark laughs, obscure sports, German bread-cutting precision, and community shoutouts.

If you want the unfiltered, no-holds-barred Friday rundown, the full episode is up now. Thanks for riding with us.
