The Full Itinerary: One Year, One Trailer, Endless Conversations
We're Hitting the Road: Our Year-Long Podcast Adventure Starts in 3 Days
Hey everyone,
We are just 3 days away from pulling out and heading out on the open road! Our first stop will be… wait for it… Calmar, Alberta (just outside of Calmar) to stay with friends of the show, the Koza’s. We can’t wait to kick this thing off with good people and good conversations. All of you have been patiently waiting for the full itinerary. While I can’t share every single exact detail yet, here’s the outline for the first 6 months.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Are you podcasting while on the road?
Absolutely. My goal is to keep the show going 5 days a week — 4 regular episodes plus the Mashup live every Friday. If I ever get in a real pickle, we’ll drop in a replay until I catch up. But the whole point of this trip is to meet and interview people along the way and (Lord willing) find some hidden gems.
Mashup fans — don’t worry. We’re planning to keep the live show every Friday at 10am MST. We’ve got a Starlink Mini and we’ve deliberately planned our travel days around the live show so we’re not driving while trying to broadcast. The only possible glitch is me… but we’re doing everything we can to make sure the show goes on.
Are you camping?
Yes. We’re hauling a 21-foot hybrid trailer. Five of us in one camper for a year? We’ll have some adjustments in the first couple of weeks, but I’m confident we’ll settle in just fine.
Are the kids homeschooling?
Yes. Taking the leap into homeschooling for the year was one of the big reasons this whole adventure became possible.
What are you pulling the camper with?
A huge shoutout to Zane and Brian Southgate for setting us up with a 2005 Suburban. It sounds mean, it looks mean, and it’s awesome. Most importantly it will get us safely to where we are going on our journey. Thank you both!
Are you voting in the referendum?
Yes. I’ll be flying back to Alberta to vote if no other option exists.
Are you attending any events while on the road?
Yes — two are already on the calendar: Martin Armstrong’s conference in Florida
Wise Traditions Conference in Washington, DC
More may pop up along the way, but these two are locked in for now.
Do you have guests scheduled across the entire trip?
I’ve already got several interviews booked, but I haven’t tried to line up 200+ in advance. The real goal is to meet new people (and reconnect with some familiar faces) as we travel. We’ll see what the road brings.
That’s the big picture for now. We’re incredibly excited to get rolling. This isn’t just a road trip — it’s a year of conversations, adventures, and seeing what God has in store for us.
If you have any other questions, drop them in the comments. I’ll do my best to answer them.
See you on the road (and on the airwaves) very soon!

Here's to a wonderful trip !!
So excited for you and your family! Memories in the making. I also am grateful for new guests you bring to the podcast.
