Let’s start here.

This morning I was writing about the forum trying to get my thoughts in order because I had been asked why I named it the Cornerstone and what the significance of it is. If one person asks I can assume many are wondering the same thing.
Here it goes.
For several months I had been in deep thought over what to call this new idea. I began by opening up discussions on it and pretty soon I was thrown ideas from all over the map, but none landed. I wanted something that signified where I was at, the importance of the forum and that if this years event went well I could be proud to call it the same name moving forward.
When I stumbled onto “Keystone” I thought it was the one.
A keystone is the wedge-shaped stone at the apex of a masonry arch. It is the final piece placed during construction and locks all the stones into position, allowing the arch or vault to bear weight.
Perfect. Final piece, important, and allows the arch to bear the weight..I’ve got it, but then the phone rings. It was a timely phone call from the Cowboy Preacher. I explained the idea and his words are “why not the cornerstone, it’s the first stone laid?”
Have you ever had a moment where someone says something and it just won’t leave you alone? Enter the Cowboy Preacher and his quick thought of cornerstone. I googled it:
“Cornerstone symbolizes “seeds” from which buildings would germinate and rise”
Ok, I like that, but maybe I’m missing something? Dig a little deeper:
“Cornerstone is the first stone set in the construction of a foundation. All other stones will be set in reference to this stone.”
Man I like that. Ok, fine, but is it in the Bible?
Isaiah 28:16
Therefore thus says the Lord God,
”Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone,
A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed.
He who believes in it will not be disturbed.”
or
Ephesians 2:20
having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone.
I feel like I found the right name. The Cornerstone Forum.
I hope to give you things that can help at the beginning of your journey and that’s why Sunday April 28th, in addition to the Cornerstone Forum, I’m going to have an SNP Sunday Service.
Joshua Allen “The Cowboy Preacher”
Tanner Hnidey
Cam Milliken
These three men will speak in a similar format to an SNP Presents with the topic of The Bible, Cornerstone, and Jesus.
I hope to see you all there on either Saturday or Sunday.
And funny, before I can send this off I checked Showpass and another ticket sold. 78 tickets left, better get yours before they are all gone. CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS.
P.S. a quick message from me and Joshua Allen who will appear on episode #605
